An opportunity has arisen for an experienced WORKSHOP MANAGER to join a Our Client who specialise in the supply of ABB Variable Speed Drives, ABB Motors and Siemens Instrumentation, Saftronic Soft Starts and in-house manufactured electrical panels built to specification.
A forward thinking individual who can achieve the best processes for the department and ensure deadlines are met. The ideal candidate must be a team player with excellent management skills and be able to contribute towards team goals; equally they must be able to demonstrate the ability to work under own initiative at times.
Excellent Communication skills are also key in this role.
The office is ideally situated, with access from the local transport and A1 and A695 motorways.
Job Spec:
Reporting to the Operations Manager - the works manager will be responsible producing, designs, engineering and manufacturing of standard and bespoke MCC,s and control systems along with the necessary schematic drawings and bills of materials. Also required to maintain premises to high standards and hire fleet.
Experience
You will be commercially aware and have a strong engineering background in both technical design and manufacture of control panels.
You will gain experience for various industry sectors such as, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, paper and pulp, petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, Water and Mining and Aggregate Companies.
Ideally you will be qualified to degree level or hold HNC/ONC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Have good working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar PC operated drawing package.
Microsoft Based software product knowledge is essential.
Working Knowledge of PLC, Soft Start and Variable Speed Drives, Instrumentation and 4 -20mA Control would be an advantage.
IOSH Managing Safely Certificated
Quality and Environmental Certificate levels 2
ILM Managers Certificate
Excellent Communication skills are vital in this role, along with the natural aptitude of representing the Company in a professional and effective manner.
