My client based in Newcastle is looking for a Part Time Payroll Assistant to work in there headoffice. The position will be for 20 hours a week over 5 days, Monday to Friday. The client is looking for someone who has Sage Payroll experince
Key Responsibilities:
•Process monthly payroll
•Collate all monthly returns and information from projects and input to Sage Payroll
•Update system with all new starters and leavers and liaise with the HR department as necessary to obtain current information
•Update pensions as necessary
•Update absence and sick records and calculate payments as necessary
•Collate and input staff expenses
•Deal with P45 and P46 forms as required
•Ensure Inland Revenue receives all relevant documentation promptly
•Respond to queries from Inland Revenue, CSA, Contributions Agency, Benefits Agency, Courts and Government bodies promptly and accurately in a professional manner.
•Respond and deal with queries relating to payroll from staff members, finance promptly and in a professional manner
•Calculate SSP & SMP,SPP
•Complete year-end returns to Inland Revenue
•Prepare reports for finance
•Ensure all perosnal data is stored and handled with due regard to confidentiality and accordance with data protection legislation
•Be conversant with current legislation on pay related matters.
•To cover reception duties as when required
•To undertake any other duties as directed by the HR Manager.
