Purpose of Role
To develop and introduce new innovative sealing products to the customer and to provide high level technical support to the customer and the organisation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop new sealing products which are innovative, meet the customer specification and are price competitive.
• Prepare and review PPAP project plans to ensure APQP2 requirements are met and to ensure submission to the customer will be on time.
• Provide high level technical support to the customer, internal departments and production partners to enable well-informed technical decisions to be made.
• Manage internal development projects to ensure company development objectives are met within the planned timeframe.
• Analyse customer field returns, identify the problem root cause and give advise / recommendations to assure a high level technical feedback to the customer in which areas for improvements are identified.
• Plan and coordinate activities in the test lab to ensure test results will be available on the customer or internal target dates and test activities are in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Prepare and provide sealing solutions for customer enquiries which are competitive, meet the given specification and are submitted on time.
Knowledge and Experience
• BSc. Degree in Engineering
• Professional communication skills
• Computer literacy with Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project.
• Problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of TS 16949 / APQP 2
• Project management/planning skills
• Expert-CAD knowledge
• Six Sigma Green Belt
• Willingness to travel
