Reporting to: Head of Production
Main functions of the job
1. Production Development.
a. Identify bottlenecks in existing equipment and report solutions.
b. Use problem solving techniques in order to highlight faults and problems and implement findings.
c. Review new techniques within the industry and implement improved practices where appropriate.
d. Participate in technical projects and establish new procedures from original concept through to commissioning.
e. Introduce 5S principle to site operations.
f. Must have 6 Sigma experience, preferably Green belt or above
2. Production Support.
a. To manage Production Orders at operational level ensuring correct priorities and personnel levels are given to production orders and plant availability in order to satisfy customer sales orders.
b. Liaise with production planning system to ensure efficient utilization of plant and labour.
c. To contribute to the effective planning, control and reworking of NFS and Slow Moving stock.
d. Contribute to setting production based targets and carry out periodic review with operational personnel.
e. Reporting as required on production tonnages, quality issues and plant utilization.
3. Health and Safety.
a. Ensure all activities relating to plant, process and personnel comply with statutory regulations and the Chemson Health and Safety Policy.
b. To conduct, as required, investigations into accidents or incidents and report findings along with suggestions for further improvements.
4. Environmental.
a. Ensure all activities within production area comply with the site environmental policy.
